What is the purpose of this recall?

To update the RV software

It has been determined that there was a programming issue on the electronic control module (ECM) which can cause an interference event resulting in the awning unintentionally extending or retracting while the vehicle is parked.

Is the recall free?

Yes.

You can either complete the software update yourself with a USB Flash Drive per the instruction set, or if you are unable to do so, you can take it to a service center, and the service center, and labor will be reimbursed directly to the service center.

Is this recall mandatory?

Yes.

This recall has been filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Transport Canada (TC) and must be completed for your unit. Although you can operate your RV safely once the awning fuse has been removed, it is best to complete this recall promptly.

How do I complete the recall for my vehicle?

Install Update and Declare Complete

You can complete the recall for your vehicle by:

Downloading the update and following the instructions to update your system.
Once your system is updated, check the install declaration box and hit Submit. You will then see a “Recall Complete” verification, and your VIN number will automatically be cleared with NHTSA and Trasport Canada.

Do I need to have this software update completed at a service center?

No.

You are able to easily complete this update yourself with a USB Flash Drive and the instructions provided. Technical support is available by calling 1-877-977-2752.

If a service center is utilized, how much will the they be reimbursed?

0.5 hours of labor at regular shop rate.

Although this update can be completed in 5 minutes or less, the service center will be reimbursed directly up to 0.5h at regular shop rate.
